How to structure a sentence to say that we use an outfit?

To talk about what a person is wearing, we only need to know the colors, sizes and vocabulary of the garment's borrowings. It is necessary to use a good way to structure a text. It is also important to use the verb "to wear" which means to wear. It is irregular and is conjugated like any other verb in its different verb forms.

Examples: She wears a pullover, I am wearing a scarf, He wore blue trousers.




Reflective text:

Based on what we learned in class, here are some examples of how to write a good paragraph structure to describe the clothes we are wearing at the moment. It is necessary to keep in mind that the color is indicated before the article of clothing. It is also important to describe the accessories we use for each type of occasion such as: a meeting, a job or a birthday.


Comparative and Superlative

Grammar comparative adjectives

The comparative is used in English to compare differences between the two objects it modifies (larger, smaller, faster, higher). It is used in sentences where we compare two nouns, as follows: Noun (subject) + verb + adjective in comparative degree + than + noun (object).

Examples: 

  • Your dog runs faster than Karen's dog
  • Peter’s new house is bigger than her old apartment.
  • The latest camera models are a lot more expensive than I can afford.

Irregular adjectives do not form the comparative in the same way as the others. There are no specific rules for these verbs, so you have to learn them by heart. 

Examples: 
  • The performance of the class was worse than last year’s.
  • My teacher is better than you´s



Adjectives of three syllables or more form the comparative by placing more before the adjective.

Examples: 

  • London is a much more fascinating city than Cambridge.
  • Motorcycles are more dangerous than cars.

According to what we have learned in class about the grammar of comparative adjectives, we use it to relate and compare in a sentence or paragraph the difference between two things. It is necessary to keep in mind that if a word has more than three syllables we must place the "more" before the adjective. For example: Paris is a more elegant city than Bogota.



Grammar superlative adjectives

The superlative is used to describe an object that is at the upper or lower end of a quality (the tallest, the smallest, the fastest, the highest). It is used in sentences in which we compare a subject with a group of objects.

Examples:

  • Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world.
  • My house is the largest one in our neighborhood.
  • Your dog ran the fastest of any dog in the race.
Irregular superlatives can have their own form. When constructing them, the root of the adjective is substantially modified. For example: maximum (greatest), minimum (least), optimum (good), lousy (bad).

Examples: 
  • You are the best.
  • Mia is the most popular girl in the class.


Adjectives of three syllables or more form the superlative by placing most before the adjective.

Examples: 
  • This is the most unusual question I’ve ever been asked.
  • That was the most amazing movie I’ve ever seen.
  • The Thames is the most famous river in England.

According to what we have learned in class about the grammar of superlative adjectives, the function of superlatives is to describe an objective at its highest or lowest level or extreme of a quality using grammar and structure. For example: Today is the worst day I've had in a long time.

The purpose of this English project is to compile all the data, information and topics taught by the teacher following the structure and content of the book Life Elementary second edition, with the purpose of showing the topics learned in classroom and virtual conferences.
